Margaret E. Ferola, 90, of Eden, New York died Thursday, December 29, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 12, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late James V. and Grace (DiFiglia) LaPaglia. She was a past member of the Home Bureau of the west side of Buffalo. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Eden, New York. She will be remembered for her kind words, as she never had a harsh word to say to anyone, her love of baking, especially her breads. She loved to read. She had a special love for her grandchildren and they were her pride and joy. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Ferola, who passed away June 1999 and a brother; Salvatore LaPaglia. She is survived by her children; Frank C. (Debbie Edmundson) Ferola and Elaine M. Holewka, her grandchildren; David J. and Chelsea J. Holewka. Also survived by a brother; Thomas (Angela) LaPaglia, and two sisters; Laura Moreno and Lucy Hixon . Family invites friends to call Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 West Church Street Eden, NY 14057. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Church Eden, New York.
