Bertha I. Sickau, 98, of Hamburg, New York, died January 8, 2012 in Autumn View Health Care Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 7, 1913 in Angola, New York, the daughter of the late Frederick and Minnie (Holden) Ratzel.
She was a long time member of the St. James United Church of Christ in Hamburg, serving on the church's Servers Group and the Sewing Group. She was also a member of the Order of Odd Fellows, Rebecca Lodge number 390 in Hamburg, New York.
Bertha enjoyed knitting, playing cards and bingo, and enjoy completing crossword puzzles.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, George H. Kreamer and her second husband, Fred Sickau; her brothers Earl Davis, Carl Ratzel, and Fred Ratzel.
She is survived by her children; Eleanor (late James) Foit, Sylvia (William) Robison, Barbara (late Frank) Reuter, and George (Judy) Kreamer.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the St. James United Church of Christ, 76 Main St. Hamburg, NY on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00PM
Burial was held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg, NY.
