He was the greatest dad a girl could hope for. And it still feels like it's all a bad dream that I could wake up from. The outpouring of love and support we recieved at the wake and memorial proved what I already knew...that his love extended out to touch everyone he met. He was an amazing man and will be missed forever by all who knew him.

If the worth of a man can be measured by the number of friends and loved ones who come to bid him farewell; Grover was, indeed, a truly wealthy man. I hope the prayers and support help to sustain his family through this difficult time. He was loved amd respected by all who knew him. Godspeed Grover, a gentle giant of a man, you will be missed.

The Carpenters and Parmelees were neighbors. We experienced idyllic childhoods together, playing hide and seek after dark, tromping thru deep snow to ski and sled, ice scating on the creek behind our houses where our dad's strung lights and we huddled under snow drift caves and had hot chocolate, Christmas Eve gatherings with cinnamon buns and homemade candy, watching the Bills on TV...
It has been so long, but my heart heart is full of rich memories as if yesterday.
I will miss you Grover.

Our condolences go out to Nancy, Jessie her husband Michael, his son Josh and his brothers Laird and Bill. Grover will be missed by many but at least this we all know, that he will not be alone. As he passes on he is met by all his loved ones that went before him. He is now joined again with his parents and so many other loved ones. So if nothing else let that help us all through this very difficult time. God bless us all.

Living next door to the Carpenter family as a kid, i remember Grover as a kind, genial, big brother-- through so many times together-- in Canada, swimming in the pool, good times at the Carpenter house and just being close neighbors. My sincere condolences to his family.

My condolences to the Carpenter family in the loss of Grover. I remember when Grover was born and how he was named after Dr. Priess. I have many fond childhood memories of being at the Carpenter home, the Halloween parties, swimming in the pool, and the warmth and welcome we children always felt there.
