Thomas J. Tighe, age 71, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Mercy Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The son of late Anthony J. and Mary (Troy) Tighe.
He attended Hilbert College and received his B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from University of Buffalo.
He married his loving wife Bridget S. Smith on September 21, 1968.
He retired after 32 years with being with the Buffalo Police Department.
He was a member of the American Legion Newell-Faulkner Post #880; where he was a Past Commander and the Hamburg Moose Lodge.
He will be remember as a wonderful and loving husband, father and papa.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was the beloved husband of Bridget S. (nee Smith);
dearest father of Thomas Jarett (Sheila) and Patrick Galen (Amy) Tighe;
caring brother of Mary Gail (Joe) Gardner and
loving Papa of Taylor, Katelyn, Patrick and Brenna.
Family invites friends to call from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2013; 10:00am at the funeral home.
