Melvin L. Turnbull, age 82, of Eden, New York, died on Friday, April 11, 2014 in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on April 18, 1931 in Buffalo, New York. The son of John Malcolm and Grace (Varney) Turnbull. He was married to the late Joan D. Adrion who died September 10, 2009.
Mr. Turnbull is retired from General Mills. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. from 1948-1952, earning the rank of Sergeant.
Devoted husband of late Joan D. (nee Adrion),
Loving father of Tom W. Turnbull.
Brother of late Malcolm (Jean) Turnbull, Eleanor (Don) Swain, late William (Em) Turnbull, Phyllis (Wilbur) Jost, and late Edwin (late Arlene) Turnbull.
Enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Family invites friends to call Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 2-4 PM & 7-9PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc 2724 W. Church St. Eden. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11AM in the funeral home.
