I remember his kindness and love for family and farming. Also a distinct memory of a cookout at the farm, my first experience with eggplant! He was a kind soul...

What a fun dad - always with something wryly silly or humorous to say. He loved kids and they loved him because he knew how to play. He knew how to work, too - he worked his tail off most of his life. I'm glad he had some good retirement years to relax and watch "The Price is Right" with Owen, take kids for tractor rides, and just sit. He had a simple, joyful outlook on life, and it won him many friends. Relax and enjoy, Dad, your work is done. We hold you in our hearts, and remember you with the many stories you left us with.

Your dad/husband was an exceptional man, gentle, kind, accepting and loving. He was so easy to be with and he clearly adored his family. My father met him just once but felt an immediate connection, as I did. His love of life and the twinkle in his eye were charming. He's surely with the angels. God bless all of you. I so wish I could have visited. I'd love to see you again.
