In memory of my Uncle Gil; My Uncle was a quiet man, who grew fantastic Petunia gardens that beautified Hardt Road for many years. I can see Uncle Gil in white apron tending bar at many weddings. He may have been the soberest bartender in History; hence the reason he was asked so often! I feel very fortunate to have stopped unannounced to visit Uncle Gil and his sweetheart Dorothy last year(2014), just as they where preparing to leave for a wedding in Langford. Uncle Gil greeted me at the door, dress shoes in hand, shirt collar up. After introductions ( Norie's youngest kid) He asked if I knew how to tie a" Windsor Knot", With Susan assisting the tie was tied and the swollen feet were forced into those dress shoes. Seeing East Eden's most endearing couple drive off on their date is a beautiful memory. Unfortunately I must be at the Niagara Falls Airport at 9:45 Thursday morning and will miss seeing many St. Mary's alumni (Wierzba family) and numerous cousins. I'm hopeful our path will cross at the Cornfest or Jamboree this summer because I summer
