Obituary of James R. Hill

James R. Hill of North Collins passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at his home following a brief illness. He was 58.
Born April 30, 1957 in Springville, he was the son of Richard and Agnes (Schmitz) Hill. He married Susan Gabel on October 22, 1976 but later divorced.
James worked as a mechanic and later as a transport driver for Killian Bulk Transport in Buffalo.
James was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed many aspects of hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering with vehicles.
James is survived by his children Jennifer (Jeff) Palmerton of Delevan, Heather (Tim) Bettinger of Springville, Lindsay (David) Hoffman of Springville, Andrea Covey of West Hennrietta and Jeordan of Amherst; his father, Richard Hill of Eden, brothers Daniel and Bill, sisters Carol Miranda and Catherine Hill; he is survived by eleven grandchildren several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
James was preceded in death by his mother Agnes and sister Joanne Mahoney.
A graveside memorial will be held at 10:00am in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Eden on October 20, 2015.
