So sad to hear the news. What a great man. He was good and generous to me and it meant alot. I think of him often when I take my kids to school in the morning. I tell them I wish they had Mr. Sturm next door to take them like he did for me. When I think of him I think of maroon and white. RIP!

When you think about our journey in life, there are certain people who come to mind that have provided beliefs, coaching, support, ways of looking at "lifes lessons", mentors, community contributors, brotherhood, attributes to fathering, etc.. To me, these qualities should be considered of how you want to live your life. So today, I think about Mr Sturm and how he lived these qualities. I thank him for all that he had accomplished, stood for and believed for ECS, our community, friends and loved ones.
To the Sturm family, feel at peace and take comfort knowing that "love is stronger than death"
God Bless
Respectfully

Your Dad, as you all know, was a wonderful man - Loved by so many. He is among some of my favorite memories from Summer Recreation and ECHS. I've seen him on occasion throughout the years, most recently when taking food to the Food Pantry in December. Always knew who I was, had a smile and some kind words....but that is the Man, you called Husband/Dad. Much love to all, will be thinking of you, sending happy thoughts and love, My Best, Carole

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sturm family! Ed left a big mark on Eden Central High School. I appreciate all he did for us as students and as athletes. He made ECS our home and always had something to say to you when you were passing him in the hallway, doing something in the gym, or just out and about in Eden. I appreciate the advice he gave me my senior year and it is still a guiding principle that I use in coach today! All those years ago he made summers fun for us with summer recreation behind the school garage . . .the games we all played, life lessons taught on the playground. He will be missed. I will be thinking of all the Sturm's this week and my prayers go out to you.
