Richard M. Arno of Boston, New York died peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2017 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Richard was born November 12, 1930 in Buffalo, New York. He was a son of Matthew J. Arno and Dorothy C. (Leonard) Arno.
Richard worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years.
Richard was a member and Past Commander of the Eden VFW # 8265 and a member of the Eden American Legion Post #880.
He married his wife Effie (Sarrasin) on October 16, 2004 in Buffalo, New York
Besides his wife, Richard is survived by 3 sons; Mark Arno, Craig Arno and Keith (Jeanne Meyers) Arno; 2 step daughters, Laura Patti and Amy Riederer; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 step grandchild and 1 step great grandchild.
Family invites friends to call Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 2-4PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY 14057 followed by a funeral service at the funeral home Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10AM
Memorials may be made in Richard’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
