Obituary of Joanne E. Stone

Joanne E. Stone, age 78, of Eden, New York died Monday, February 20, 2017. She was born September 13, 1938 in Hamburg, New York. She was a daughter of Samuel and Evelyn (Hayes) Wright. She married her loving husband, Truman L. Stone “Skip” of almost 60 years, on March 22, 1957 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina by the Justice Harry Ufpheltt. She will be remember for her love of antiquing with her husband, gardening and tending to the Koi Pond her and her husband had built. She had a special place in her heart for animals. She enjoyed spending time with her friends from the first graduating class of Hamburg from the high school that was built in 1956. She was the devoted wife of Truman L. Stone “Skip”, loving mother of Debra (Douglas Spicola) Stone and late Corey Stone., She was the grandmother of Ashley Stone; the sister of Barbara (late Joseph) Floreno, Jana Lou (Jack) Ferro and late Delmar Wright.
