Obituary of Lorenzo C. Bugenhagen

Lorenzo C. Bugenhagen 97 of Eden, NY ,died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 13, 1912, the son of Edward and Mary (Henry) Bugenhagen. He was the loving husband of the late Ruth Bugenhagen. He was employed with the Allied Chemical Corporation in Buffalo, New York until his retirement. He was a an active member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Eden, NY. He was a member of the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. He was also a member of the Valparaiso University, Indian. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his neighbors who looked in on him. He was a man with a big heart who shared his backyard to those who loved to garden. He is predeceased in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth, his son John and daughter Joan. He is survived by his step children Carol and Charlie Merckel, a son in law Joseph J. Bohnen, grandchildren Terri Long and Mark Kuchler and 3 great grandchildren and a niece Linda (Glenn) Nellis. A graveside service will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Eden, NY on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 4:00PM Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3487 North Boston Rd.
