Dearest Annette,
I am so very saddened to hear of my old friend’s passing. Although Ed and I had not seen each other since a few years after high school, he was always in my head and heart as one of my best friends from my youth. His spirit was the true embodiment of the best of an East Eden native, and in his quiet, unassuming , (and sometimes boisterous) ways, he schooled me into the fold. Our trip to Hawaii I will never forget. Mostly though, it was the days and years of school, sports, and working together at becoming young men with him that I will always cherish.
He was a wonderful wonderful friend.
I want you to know that I am thinking of you at this time and holding you in The Light.
