Obituary of Shirley Pacini

Shirley Pacini, 85, of Lake Wales FL, died on October 7, 2010. Born in North Tonawanda on August 11, 1925 she was the daughter on the late Ruth (Woodrich) Helwig and Carl Helwig. Mrs. Pacini was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles V. Pacini and brother Ronald Helwig.
Shirley graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1943. She was a long time resident of Eden, NY which is where she always considered home and was a long time member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ in Eden, NY. Shirley was also a long time member of the Gowanda Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf and bridge. More recently she enjoyed residing at Saddlebag Lake Resort where she became friends with many people from throughout the country and became an avid bridge player and was a member of the Saddlebag Lake Resort Church in Lake Wales, FL. Shirley Pacini was retired from the Erie County Interscholastic Conference as office manager and acting director.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Sandra Hess and husband Edwin Hess of Murrells Inlet, SC and Charlene Gwinn and husband David Gwinn of Martinsburg, WV; one granddaughter Krista Hess of Hagerstown, MD; Sister-in-law Barbara Helwig, Brother-in-law Bruno Pacini and several nieces and nephews from the Buffalo, NY area.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday October, 16, 2010 at St. Johns United Church of Christ at 2:00 PM with family receiving friends and family from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Eden Evergreen Cemetery.
