Dear Nancy, Carol, Jay & Digger: I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful and gracious person. She was always kind and caring. She made everyone feel welcome and part of your wonderful family. Some of the best times of my youth was time spent at the farm in Lawtons with all of you. She took care of and managed quite a clan of family and friends. Condolences to all of you. Stay healthy and safe.

I am so sorry for this loss for all of you. Grandma Bernie was such a sweet & gentle spirit. I would giggle out loud sometimes when I would watch her & Grandpa have conversations & squabble, it was so endearing. I am so glad that my Grandpa had her love & companionship during their many, many years together. May you all find God’s Peace & rest during this difficult time.

Dear Jay, Carol, Nancy & Digger, I know that this is a very difficult time for you, losing such a loving and wonderful mother. The last 4 years of my father's life I was intimately involved in his and your mother's lives. They were almost always together. Often there were multiple doctor's visits a week in addition to grocery shopping adventures, which they were, with him on a scooter and her with a rolling walker, especially in a busy Wegmans. Our Buffalo General excursions were always challenging.
I will always remember communing Bernie, praying with her and her looking up at me at Autumnview and greeting me with, "Hello Pastor Doyle." You were truly blessed to have had such an incredible guileless and sweet lady to call mother. I was blessed to have had that time too and as I would often tell Bernie, "If I got to pick my step mother I would have picked you." You are in my prayers for God's comfort and peace.
Brent

Please accept my deepest condolences to your family at this time. Bernie was a beautiful soul. She had beautiful blue eyes, such a pretty lady, always dressed in blue which she said was her favorite color. I have shared this post with a blue candle in her honer. Her simple smile was quite infectious and warm.
I had the pleasure of meeting your mother many, many times as she accompanied her husband Brent Sr, and son Brent Jr. at doctor's visits. They spent much time together and Brent Jr was very attentive to them both. Bernie and Brent Doyle Sr. shared their experiences of selling their house and moving to assisted living where Brent Sr was careful to choose a home best suited for them both.
I am glad that she has found love and care from you , her children, as I know her confusion late in life was a challenge and she deserved peace and love.
It was an honor to know her and again I am very sorry for your loss.
