Martha, please accept our deep sympathy to you and the family on the passing of Phil. He was a tireless servant and friend to all people and a gem to these Southtown communities. My earliest memory was in his years as the high school attendance officer. He was always pleasant and understanding as I unfortunately had to visit his office frequently as my poor health caused uncountable absences.
Then later, after marrying my husband, Donald, we had the pleasure of working with him yearly on the Salvation Army Kettle Drive in Evans and were so happy to be able to assure people that the funds raised were well used within our own community where there was such need. He also assisted Donald in “pairing” families-in-need with other collections that our congregation would raise.
Fast forward to November of 2019 when my mom, Carol Feltz, moved into Eden Hgts assisted living home. He made sure to welcome her and make conversation with her as a fellow resident and Lutheran Child of God.
He indeed served God and his fellow man with quiet faithfulness and we are thankful for his example and constant effort.
Sincerely,
Maxine(née Feltz) and Pastor Donald Loos(Emeritus)

Martha, we were saddened to learn of Phil's passing. He certainly accomplished so many things that helped his community. Phil hired me for my teaching position at the Hoag School. He was a wonderful person to work for, always going beyond what was required. Ken and I will keep you in our prayers and Phil will always be in our hearts.

Dear Martha and Kathleen,
Our deepest sympathy. Phil will be missed by all who knew him. In reading the notice we are amazed by all the groups and projects he was involved in. It will take an amry of people to fill his shoes. I am greatful that I got to know him through Damon Motors. if you look up the word gentleman in the dictionary there you will see a picture of Phil. A true gentleman, positive and gracious.
We pray that your years of good memories will comfort you during this trying time. Martha, you were such a blessing in Phil's life, and Kathleen you were the apple of his eye. Leo and Maureen Morabito

Dear Martha,
I'm sending my condolences to you for the loss of Phil. You did so much to care for him and make him happy over the years. I hope you find peace. I looked up to Phil and respected his judgment. We had so many laughs on the zoning board. Phil was so kind to me and yet so feisty ! He is certainly a legend. This world is a better place because of Phil. He will be missed.

Phill was a plethora of GOOD information at the Four Corners Cafe lunch round table. Although small in stature he stood up to anyone that misrepresented Eden and its history. Phill participated in all town functions. Was not afraid to speak up at Town Board meetings when he felt the need. The Town of Eden is a much better place due to Phill.
