Gerald William “Jerry” Shumaker of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, formally of Eden, NY, died Saturday, July 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger” (nee: Elder) Shumaker, his daughter and son in law; Beth Amber (William Bernard) Georger, his grandchildren; Dalton and Teagan Georger, a niece Robin (Justin) MacPherson; a nephew; Scott (Debbie) Roth, a brother in law; John (Tricia) Elder; a sister in law; Ida Elder and several other nieces and nephews.
Jerry is predeceased by his father and mother; Delbert William “Bill” (MaryLou) Shumaker; a brother, Robert Rickie Shumaker, and a sister; Karen Lee (Robert Neil) Roth.
Family invites friends to call on August 14, 2021 from 10:00AM -11:15AM followed by a memorial service at 11:30AM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., 2724 W. Church St. Eden, NY. A luncheon will immediately following the service at the Eden American Legion, Legion Drive, Eden, NY
