It was a lovely service today. I knew Anne for many years at EMMA bookstore, where she was someone much appreciated by the community. I remember staffing the store with her, setting up chairs for the concerts that EMMA sponsored, making arrangements for the writer's and poets who spoke there. She was a kind, loving and steady presence. I remember pick up sticks in her yard, and the bonfires. Not too long ago, she knitted a pink hat for us around the time of the Women's March on Washington, which still makes me smile, and I think may have raised a few eyebrows with some fellow knitters.. She will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences.
