Mrs. Schasel was so beloved by our family in every way. Mrs. Schasel's office was haven and harbor to each of our children -- Alexandra, Eliza, and Zachary -- at GLP. She always had just the right touch and just the right words for every ailment. And...she always knew when it was something else entirely! She was so proud of all her GLP children, of her own family, and with humility, of the amazing work she and Don did at the Food Pantry. It was an honor to know them both.

Dear Donelle, Rob and Cindy,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Growing up in our East Pleasant Ave neighborhood, your Mom was one of several "Moms" we could always count on. Rosella was truly the inspiration for my career choice; I remember riding with her to OLV Hospital on a Saturday morning so I could volunteer as a candy striper. I also remember her kindness to our entire family when both my Mom and Dad died. She will be missed and remembered by many.
Sincerely,
Judy Blatner Wlostowski

My condolences to Rosella's family. She was one of the "big sisters" to my graduating class at Millard School of Nursing...Later on our paths crossed again as School Nurses. She was a true school nurse and a lovely lady.

I have so many great memories of Mrs. Schasel being the mom you needed when you weren't feeling good. You would go to the nurses office at school knowing she was there and would take care of you as if you were her very own child.
Thank you for being there for all of us.
