Obituary of Mary Ellen Smith

Mary Ellen Smith, 79, a life long resident of Eden, New York, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Brunswick, Georgia after a long illness. She was born August 6, 1931, the daughter of the late Herbert D. and Loretta R. Brindley. She was a Past President and member of the Eden Up To Date Club, a Past President of the Alter and Rosary Society of Immaculate Conception Church. She was also a Past Chairwoman of the Eden Community Food Pantry. Mary Ellen was a Grand Daughter of Civil War Veteran Ozias Brindley. She was married to her loving husband Jack M. Smith for 56 years. Beside her husband, Jack, she is survived by her children; J. Bradley, Mary Elise, John C. (Kathleen), Anita K. (Maureen) and Jaclyn M. Smith. Also surviving are her grand daughters Jena G. and Elizabeth M.
