Obituary of Caroline Walkowiak

Caroline Walkowiak (Nee: Plesko), 92, of Eden, New York died Monday, July 18, 2011. She was the daughter of the late George Plesko, Sr. and Frances (Franko) Plesko. She was a member of the American Legion Newell-Faulkner Post 880 Auxiliary for 30 years.She was a Past Erie County American Legion Officer, serving in 1994. She also was very active with the Eden Senior Citizens as she was instrumental in planning the trips and outings. Mrs. Walkowiak was one of the few remaining member of the Clarksburg School House. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing basketball. She was the wife of the late Matthew J. Walkowiak, sister of the late Mary Plesko, George Plesko, Jr., Frieda Faruga, Anna Timm, and Amelia Plesko. She is survived by two nephews and one niece. Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 West Church Street, Eden, NY Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11AM in the funeral home.
